About Real County, TX
Real County, TX is located on the Edwards Plateau region right next to Frio River and its estimated population according to 2019 census data was 4,014 people - one of least populated counties hereabouts due to major mountainous regions which make up much of this area. Its county seat is Leakey with other towns including Camp Wood & Rio Frio giving us an exquisite countryside feel that much more enjoyable to everyone living here or visiting for business or pleasure alike. Real County had been created from parts of Edwards & Bandera Counties back in 1903 – posthumously named after Pedro Antonio de la Garza Falcon Real – Texan freedom fighter who died defending Alamo mission fort against Mexican forces just prior it becoming part of US union around 2 decades later.
