Graham County, NC neighbors Clay near Robbinsville metropolitan centre thus giving an estimated 2019 population standing at 8,686 making it the 85th most populous county located in North Carolina overall. Its county seat is Robbinsville although other towns include Lake Santeetlah & Stecoah- Robbinsville itself correspondences out to Graham’s biggest city aside from recognized country seat. This area had been created out of Cherokee Indian lands back in 1872 when local citizens petitioned for new administrative boundaries - posthumously named after General Joseph A Graham owing General Assembly who approved such decision earlier that same year.
