About Cooper County, MO
Cooper County is located in west-central Missouri and is bordered by Moniteau, Boon, Pettis, Saline, Howard and Chariton counties. The county seat is Boonville and it was established in 1818. It has a population of around 17,000 people with a total land area of 566 square miles. Popular attractions include the Katy Trail State Park and Rocheport Covered Bridge.
