Should I move to Seattle or Denver?
Star Rating - 12/20/2012
Single girl moving from the NYC region and I can't decide on Seattle or Denver. I don't mind the rain and I don't care much about the sun but I love to be active and spend time outdoors. I will be moving without a job and looking once I get there so being able to find a job easily is a big factor. Also, I am originally from Europe so I love meeting international people and I will be traveling a lot all over the West coast. Overall I am into a healthy lifestyle, with some spirituality on the side (yoga, meditation, inner peace) and I would love to get into a city with that type of vibe. Feeling good inside is way more important to me than rain or sun, etc. Any opinions and suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Without hesitation, Seattle is the best choice. If you're looking for friendly people, this city is not for you. It's polluted, dry and brown, there's no water, bipolar people, and the economy is not great. There are tons of hippie has-beens who never grew up, lots who just like to smoke a lot of pot and hang out on the 16th St mall. NYC is cleaner & much friendlier than here. Seattle is clean, with fresh air, beautiful water, gorgeous foliage, and more fresh, healthy food than any city we've ever been to in the US. We cannot wait to move away from Denver. Good luck to you!

Kania, between Seattle and Denver I say Seattle and I give you the goods and bads. Seattle is more modern then Denver, more open minded people, you have ocean and mountains, and much cleaner city. Yes is rainy but light rain and they have traffic too, not as bad like in Denver. Is more expensive to live in Seattle then Denver. Now Denver is 'cute' ,traffic is bad, country style city. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I see with Denver, and I'm amazed nobody said anything about it is Rocky Flats Plant and other military facilities. Do a wikipedia/google research about Rocky Flats plant plutonium/radioactive contamination on Denver area. So keep that in mind before you take a decision !Good luck!

Generally speaking, people in Seattle are humorless, elitist, moody, grumpy, anti-social, passive-aggressive, introverted arseholes. If you happen to be self-absorbed and/or a malignant narcissist, who doesn't genuinely care about or need other people (and only see them as means to your personal ends) and don't feel the need to get to know anyone beyond the most superficial level, you will fit into Seattle just fine. I have never meet so many lifeless, humorless twats in one place. I have never lived in Denver so I don't have an opinion on people there.
